Seller Commission & Payout Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
This policy explains what Dharaass charges a Seller on a sale and how the remainder is paid out. It applies to every Seller on the Platform and forms part of the Seller Agreement.
1. Commission Rate
Dharaass charges a platform commission of 10% of the item value by default. Commission is applied to the price of the items sold — not to delivery fees, and not to taxes collected on your behalf.
A different rate may apply where Dharaass has agreed one with you specifically, or where a published category rate applies. Rates are resolved in this order, most specific first:
- A rate agreed for your store.
- A rate published for the product's category.
- The standard platform rate of 10%.
The rate applied to each order is itemised in your Earnings & Payouts dashboard.
2. What You Earn
For each delivered order, your net earning is the value of your items in that order, less the commission that applies to them. On a ₹1,000 order at the standard rate, that is ₹100 commission and ₹900 to you.
Earnings are recorded only once an order is delivered. Orders that are cancelled, rejected, or never handed over do not generate earnings or commission.
3. Delivery Charges
Delivery fees collected from buyers cover the cost of fulfilment by the Dharaass delivery network and are not part of your earnings. Where you deliver local orders with your own staff instead of the Dharaass network, that arrangement is set on your store profile and any agreed adjustment is reflected in your statements.
4. Payouts
Earnings from delivered orders become available for payout once the order's return window has passed without a claim. You can request a payout of your available balance from the Earnings & Payouts dashboard at any time.
Payouts are transferred to the bank account verified during onboarding. Keep those details current — a payout to a closed or mismatched account will fail and be returned to your available balance.
5. Deductions & Adjustments
Dharaass may adjust your balance for refunds and replacements arising from your error, chargebacks, promotional contributions you opted into, and amounts recoverable under the Seller Agreement. Every adjustment appears as a line item in your statements.
6. Taxes
You are responsible for your own tax registration, invoicing, and filings, including GST where applicable. Dharaass deducts tax at source where the law requires it, and makes those deductions available in your statements for your filings.
7. Changes to This Policy
We will give notice of a change to commission rates before it takes effect. Continuing to sell on the Platform after that date means the revised rate applies to orders placed from then on.
